What is fair trade?

-         Fair trade refers to business practices that ensure that all stakeholders in a business model are treated equitably and fairly.

-         In the case of Sense Organics, this means farmers are guaranteed a minimum floor price for their goods.

-         All workers are guaranteed safe working conditions and livable wages.

-         Child labor is strictly prohibited, which means that the parents can make enough money to send their children to school.

-         Sense Organics is FLO (Fairtrade Labeling Organization) certified, which means that in addition to the requirements above, we are required to invest in projects that enhance social, economic, and environmental development.
