-         Sense Organics' clothing is hypoallergenic. The cotton, dyes, snaps and zippers are all tested and guaranteed to be allergy free.

-         Gap, Levi, and Nike are some of the largest consumers of American grown organic cotton in the USA.

-         Texas is one of the largest producers of organic cotton in the world.

-         Organic cotton is not only grown without the use of chemicals or poisons, but uses less water.

-         Once organic cotton fiber leaves a farm, there are no federal standards in place to restrict the use of harmful chlorine bleaches, harmful dyes, or toxic finishers that contain suspected carcinogens.

-         The Organic Trade Association has voluntary organic standards that address all the stages of textile processing. Manufacturers who agree to these standards are surpassing the federally mandated standards necessary to be certified organic.

-   Only 40% of cotton is fiber, 60% is seed. The parts of the cotton plant that aren't used in manufacturing clothing and textiles is used as food for livestock. If the cotton was not organic, the chemicals on it are passed on to our food chain.

-   Cotton is about 5% of the world's crops, but uses almost 25% of the world's insecticides. Not only is this really bad for the planet, it is hard for small farmers to compete because of the cost of the chemicals.

-   According to the Organic Exchange, organic textile sales are projected to grow to $1.6 billion by the end of 2008, reflecting an average annual growth rate of 115%.

-  Conventional farming with synthetic fertilizers causes a loss of soil and requires intensive irrigation.
